Pregnancy Testing
Our confidential, lab quality pregnancy tests are 99 percent accurate. A pregnancy can be detected as early as seven to 10 days after conception,
although, in some cases, a pregnancy test may not be accurate until 30 days after the first day of the last menstrual period.
Common pregnancy symptoms include a missed period, nausea or vomiting, frequent urination, weight gain or loss,
swollen or tender breasts and fatigue.
The presence of any or all of these symptoms does not necessarily mean that you are pregnant,
and you may be pregnant having few or even none of these
symptoms. Therefore, confirming a pregnancy through the most accurate means is important.
Sonograms
Our sonograms are performed by medically-trained professionals under the supervision of our Medical Director. Although a positive pregnancy test
may be accurate, various studies show that anywhere from 15 to 30 percent of pregnancies end in miscarriage, which may not be obvious for a period
of time. Sonograms are performed to confirm a viable pregnancy through the detection of a heartbeat and to determine how far along the pregnancy is.
A sonogram is scheduled after an initial pregnancy test appointment.
Support
Our relationship with you does not end with a pregnancy test or a sonogram. You may be referred to local agencies near your home
or office for ongoing care and support. These agencies offer a variety of classes and support groups as well as individual guidance
at no charge to you.
